Much has been made of the Internet lately. Some have proclaimed the revolutions and the current toppling of Despots in Egypt, Tunisia, Bahrain, and Libya, impossible at such speed without Twitter, Facebook, Google, and You Tube. Others, older, like Frank Rich, have said this is not the case. Rich, often right on, missed the point in his column of a couple weeks ago. There is no question the speed of events in the Middle East is a direct result of the speed of news and the freedom of awareness.

It took a century or more for the European monarchies to yield up absolute power. Today it seems possible that realignment in the Middle East may occur in a month. Centuries to a month. Time marches on, as John Cameron Swaze said, and today it marches with incredible speed.

What can one observe but wow, oh my god, yikes? We must marvel at the speed of these revolutions and this rapid unfolding of history, the force of this new youthful renaissance of a people. And, could Ghaddifi get away with greater destruction if the world was not aware of the mercenary slaughtering of his people. The answer is certain, he could. Without the constant pictures and information the pundits would not be analyzing, the newspapers would not be writing. News from Libya would be a trickle. Obummer might not care, or he might care less without pressure from the people because his major concern seems, his reelection. (Not that he seems to care that much now other than another speech without action).

It makes one wonder what a force this information age is going to be for history, for the future? At times in America the overwhelming volume of gibberish from the Internet appears to dull the mind with so much constant news of nothing. This is apparently not the case when it comes to significant events.

Imagine the history, the circumstances and evolution of World War 2 if the Internet had existed in the 1930's or 1940's. There might have been no war at all. And certainly Roosevelt would have needed to be more transparent, his motives of greater purity, as he lead our nation to war with lend-lease and his trade blockages of the Japanese. And what of the Nazi’s? Could they possibly have slaughtered so many millions in their death camps had the world known?

Today, people forget. We are tempted to say that World War Two was a war against the ultimate evil, the death camps, and the genocide of a people. It was not. Because until the US army marched into Buchenwald at the end of the war people were not aware of the Nazi slaughter. There were rumors. Roosevelt knew, and certainly many of the world’s leaders knew. However for Roosevelt, Churchill, Stalin, the slaughter of the Jews was secondary to victory over the Germans, and the realignment of power. Had the average soldier been aware? Had the citizens of the United States been aware? If Rosy the riveter had known? The conflict might have ended quickly or perhaps never started- a result of shear moral force and the horror at the genocide of a people.

What are we saying here? Had the Internet existed; World War Two might have never happened, and if it had, genocide of the Jews, slaughter the Chinese, the deaths of so many Russians would have been known everywhere. The world would have been aware and the five year slaughter might have lasted only months. Just imagine

We have watched these channels, and visited these sites over the years. Recently we are watching them more than main stream media. The coverage of world events is superior and the commentators are brighter and less packaged. To paraphrase Amy Goodman of Democracy Now. "Not like our version of state media, the media of the conglomerate- where few pundits say so little about so much".

So, if you want to be where the action is in the middle east- where the youthful energy of change is spreading, access information from these sources. Look for Democracy Now, English Algazeera on the Links network   or on the internets. Then watch Chris Mathews-MSNBC or Wolf Blitzer-CNN or Moron Joe again on MSNBC.   You will be shocked at the comparison.

And a sad comment on the media of our nation.
The President told the nation Feb 15th that, Raymond Davis, the American held in Pakistan on double murder charges for a shooting last month was a US diplomat and had immunity from prosecution. Since then we have learned he was a past private contractor working for Blackwater, and was a CIA spy, and not a diplomat.   It took the English newspaper The Guardian to break this story.    Sunday February 20th.

And guess what? Even as Obummer was lying to the American people Feb 15th the New York Times already knew the truth of his lies. They knew Obummer was full of it and failed to inform the American people. So much for our nations "greatest newspaper"
And another reason to never vote for Obummer Again!!

So don't pretend that what you see on TV or read in American newspapers in the land of the free and home of the brave is anyway near true. It is spun and spawned, and as packaged, processed, and pressed as luncheon meat.

Deeply did and does not but From this New York Times Article it appears the nondescript automobile works swell when in the all electric mode, but "howls like a Banshee" when the three cylinder gas engine begins to assist and charge the batteries.

We imagine this manufacturer of batteries and autos imagines will figure this out. Now how do we buy a little of this companies stock like Warren Buffett bought a lot of in 2008? Meanwhile the stock seems down considerably in the last year. This is apparently the result of failures to meet timelines... Never the less one wonder why not for the long term?

The truth is unemployment levels will never return to the 4 and 5 percent levels regarded as healthy before the crash of 2008. In fact, the new standard is likely to be 6 or 7 and this is without considering workers left behind and no longer in the statistics. Sadly, we are likely to  have an even larger and permanent underclass, and this underclass will be not only from the poorly educated or from blue collar workers. It will be a mixture of mid level executives now flipping burgers, construction workers emptying bedpans, and executives put out to pasture. Not to mention farm workers replaced by Japanese robots capable of picking and selecting ripe strawberries. Yikes, oh well too bad, time to become a politician where few job skills are required except disingenuous deceit.

Add to this mix Watson, IBM's super computer. You know, the machine that just defeated past jeopardy champions in a special jeopardy version of John Henry against the pile driver or Paul Bunyan against the chain saw. And like the chain saws destruction of the ax, or John Henry's loss to the machine, the implications of this new contest are just as bad for mankind ( as in workin for a livin) . In fact IBM's goal was to make a machine capable of stealing jobs from humans.

It seems possible that in Egypt and then possibly in the entire Middle East there may be one of those rare moments of human achievement; an awakening like the renaissance or the enlightenment when man rises above his selfish and violent nature producing something wonderful and worthwhile.

Enjoy Egypt. A renaissance is fleeting. Finding Your Inner Bum

A primer for executives, aging, unemployed and unlikely to bounce back.

Are you one of the many who, in this winter of 2011, have fallen off the unemployment rolls, your benefits dried up? Are you an American no longer part of the national statistics? Don’t despair. It is unlikely to get any better. However; through this primer, and by employing these simple steps and principles, by learning to accept and employ your inner bum, you may survive and flourish.

Principle one

Toss self worth out the window. This is a concept which will not benefit you, as you have none.

Principle two.

Learn to live on less, much less. Learn to employ those executive management skills you once had to manage your self. Learn to manage your inner bum.

Principle three.

Be like a lion, find food, then sleep a lot. And if you do not have a comfortable place to sleep there are many fine new cardboards and hi tech materials. New age boxes just big enough for you. If you are too fat today to occupy your selected box. If you are bigger than a refrigerator, don’t despair. Your new residence will soon fit you fine as you are going to lose some weight due to your new exercise program and diet.

Exercise program.

You will find yourself walking more. You will no longer own a car. And thank you very much. By not owning that car and walking more you will be doing your part to conserve gasoline and eliminate carbon from the atmosphere. Sure, you may still emit some nasty methane, but your personal methane exhaust is likely to decline, as you will be eating less, and constantly find yourself hungry. You will be green. But anyway back to your new exercise program. Between walking to find places to sleep during the day, and the constant necessary moving of your residence as the police kick you about, between these and climbing in and out of dumpsters’ you will soon be fit enough to easily fit, along with your belongings, into that refrigerator box.

Finding Food.

Starting out

Crash parties, weddings, and convention fetes. This will work for a time until you become too dirty, odorous, and scruffy. Take advantage of it. And while you do; take advantage of this period to start checking out the dumpsters behind your hamlet’s, or city’s best restaurants. Chart their garbage. On some days it may be extra shrimp from Red Lobster, on others Pizza at Dominoes, and then there will be those special days when your local la di da french joint, Maurice’s, has tossed out the cheese gone too soft and runny, that pate turned too green.

You have hopefully kept that laptop you of yours, along with that cute little solar charger you purchased when you were fat and employed. You will now find yourself making spread sheets and charting dumpsters. Select the best restaurants in your town. Go scavenging at odd hours when no one will notice you except the other bums you will be competing with. Carry a gun if you have one. It is your right under the constitution. Anyway, You will soon discover a pattern. Certain restaurants will have higher quality waste than others. They may also have different food excesses on different days. Again Red lobster may have shrimp on Monday, and Maurice’s, extra fine pate on Thursday afternoon.

Make a spreadsheet for your daily and nightly expeditions.

Successful foraging (dumpster diving) will be the key to your survival. Again use your management and executive skills to chart the course of your activity.

The State of The Speech

The President gave a pleasant speech. As far as Pillars go, they went unmentioned. The speech sought great achievement and yearned for understanding. It was full of hope, full of compromise, and promises of future compromise. At times it was sappy and we have heard it all before from this President with greater resolve.

The Rebuttals- The President is toast.

After watching the disingenuous dribble from congressman Ryan's republican rebuttal Deeply turned to his wife and said. That man is either an imbecile or the devil. “Devil”, she said, and sadly when you looked into his demonic red eyes and observed his perfect hair you knew this to be true. And when you studied Bachman’s charts and listened to her homilies to Iwo Jima it became clear. Americans will accept the simple explanation that our current predicament is Obama’s fault and not George Bush’s

Yep, Obummer was snookered and will be a one-term president. His tries at compromise and failure to push for greatness, his failure to explain and loudly shout along with his predictions that good times would arrive too soon all have doomed him.

His major achievements will be saving the nation from a depression and the misunderstanding by the American people that Keynesian economics does not work- the result of his failure to stimulate the economy enough.

The stimulus was only half of what it should have been. It did not achieve enough quick enough and it opened the door for Michele Bachman’s accurate graphs and the disingenuous conclusion that unemployment has grown because of government spending, and not from policies and events set in motion before Obummer’s presidency.

Yes, the Republican rebuttal was and is mistaken. But Bachman’s charts looked timely and Ryan’s doom and gloom sounded simple and scary. Jack and Jill average will listen, hear, and walk away concluding that government is the problem and that some new version of save the corporation, tax cut, trickle down policy is the only answer.

Yep, Obummer snookered himself with his meager stimulus package from the beginning. He snookered himself with his tries at compromise past and promises of compromises future. The republicans in charge will walk away assured of a rising stock market, continued high unemployment, wealth, and a victory in 2012.

This should not have been so and it is Obummer’s fault. Sadly, Deeply is left thinking that life will get much worse for the middle class and poor before it becomes better. This is now certain. But hopefully, and we do not mean Obummer ‘hope a dope’ here, the coming terrible poverty and despair for the average American will finally educate him or her that progressive powerful government intervention is the only answer, and we will have a new and real progressive in the white house in 2016.

Shorter term, the people are going to hurt and hurt more. Sadly, it may be too late for the USA to ever catch up with China.

Conclusions:

President Obummer will do just enough good to keep us from a double dip recession.

Things will grow steadily better for the rich and the top twenty percent.

Things will gradually improve for those in the fiftieth to eightieth percentile.

Despair will continue and increase for the poor and the lower middle class.

A Republican president, elected in 2012 with tea party principles, will so tighten and restrict the economy that the nation will again fall into depression.

In 2016 when we will reelect a true progressive president.

Ok, tonight is the big speech, and more than likely President Obummer will make a good one. Also more than likely he will not follow up on it anymore than he has on past speeches or past pillars. Yep, we hear the word of tonight is Pillars. And no doubt these Pillars will be equally ignored or stunted as Obummer's past Pillars.

Once again Five Pillars are the words of this Obummer moment. Today his team of sycophants told gathered reporters ( See ABC News) that "the theme of the speech is

"How We Win the Future," a subject for which the president will outline five pillars: innovation, education, infrastructure, tackling the national debt, and government reform.

Now you would think that Captain Big Speech would at least not be redundant in his rhetoric, a new year a new speech with new catch words. You would be wrong.

He has used this Pillars theme before... same theme different or redundant Pillars.

In March of 2009 Obummer had the five pillars of Education,
1) "Investing in early childhood initiatives" like Head Start;

2) "Encouraging better standards and assessments" by focusing on testing itineraries that better fit our kids and the world they live in;

3) "Recruiting, preparing, and rewarding outstanding teachers" by giving incentives for a new generation of teachers and for new levels of excellence from all of our teachers.

4) "Promoting innovation and excellence in America’s schools" by supporting charter schools, reforming the school calendar and the structure of the school day.

5) "Providing every American with a quality higher education--whether it's college or technical training."

and in April of the same year The five pillars of the economy.

1)New rules for Wall Street
A fundamental rewriting of financial regulations to "reward drive and innovation, not reckless risk-taking." Obama wants to give government authority to monitor institutions that could pose "systemic" risk to the whole system if they got into trouble. Calls for legislation by year end.

2)Investment in education
Focus on early childhood education, improving test scores and tax credits to make college education more affordable. New emphasis on drawing more Americans into science and technology. Give the U.S. the world's highest percentage of college graduates by 2020.

3)Investment in renewable energy and technology
The stimulus bill ratchets up spending on energy technology and "green" public works that will safeguard the environment while generating thousands of new jobs. But Obama said ultimate success will require a controversial system to put market-based caps on carbon pollution.

4)Health-care reform
Revamp health-care system to improve quality and make care more affordable for every American without increasing the deficit. Developing technology and stronger market incentives are seen as keys to curbing skyrocketing costs and aiding families and businesses while helping to trim the deficit.

5)Deficit reduction
Wants to pay for it by rooting out waste, as well as containing health-care and other entitlement costs. Obama cited his budget, which identifies savings of $2 trillion in areas such as defense, procurement and Medicare.

So, what are those bourbon swilling masters of the moment doing in their imaginary leather chair, smoking that cigar and calling all their representatives? Probably saying "We'll be sending Lawyers, Guns, and Money" to make sure you do not pass any legislation to control hand guns in America.

Deeply recently watched the movie Casino Jack, nothing new, but Kevin Spacey is outstanding, and the pace and force of the film screams alert, alert, alert... once again to those aware...and those not. Compromise is not the answer. It is the scam. Clearly, given our system, Obummer was bought off before we ever met him.
In fact, we are hard pressed to think of any politician, any striver for the glory of politics, who was not bought off in High School as they sucked up to everyone to be class president or some such other stupidity. Yep, we are in big trouble, and baby steps are not going to fix it. A little bit of this for you , and dash of that for me, and piles of money for everyone in congress is the sad reality of the moment.

But hell, America was probably one giant fraud from the beginning. Kill the Indians, steal the land, white man's burden, manifest destiny, and gold, gold, gold. What could anyone expect. A jawboning President of principle and substance? Oh come now, you must have been dreaming.

PS- how did Deeply watch Casino Jack before it was even in the theaters. He downloaded it from the Internet. Yep, the film companies put this stuff out there to all the voters so the films may win awards, so people will notice, so that big bucks may come their way, and some how, some of those principled voters must place their private copies on the great big web. Because, there it was to download and watch for free, unhassled, courtesy of some Internet bandit and the file sharing program Shareaza.

It has taken a couple of days before Deeply has been able to jot his observations on Obummer’s most recent sickening cave in to the Republicans.

We know, what could we expect? It is the man's pattern. In a time when our country is in danger, when every missed month is a year of opportunities lost, when every dithering, compromising. pratfall of this putz of a President spells disaster, it becomes easy to find profanity. The page would have been full of it two days ago.

In normal times this president of ours would be adequate, not great but satisfactory. However; these are not normal times. Our country sits on the pin and the odds are ninety to nine that we will be able to salvage ourselves. Not a time of ease, or tranquillity, no time for the checklist approach of governing that somehow became President Obummer.

Deeply thought in his more addled moments, back in 2008, that we were about to elect someone unusual, a new version of Roosevelt, a jawboning reformer who would educate and lead the American people into a future where our country still had opportunity for the many instead of only the few and fewer. A country where the dreams, hopes, talents, and expectations of everyone were allowed to flourish... Nada no and never was.. Unfortunately.

We needed a President who stood at the base of the mountain, at the base of some Everest of the future, and saw the summit and dragged the nation to the top. This president unfortunately only sees Everest’s feces laden base camp, then says “Well, see how far I’ve taken you. You are at 18,000 feet. Ignore this filth about you, see, see, way up there in the light above us, see, it is the sun”.

Sorry America, but we are slipping away fast and faster.. A roaring inertia loaded freight train of disaster for all but the rich of our society. No new green programs, no new Manhattan project of energy and jobs, no stop to fighting two wars.. We are acting as if we have time, if we could possibly save ourselves- step by step. Well, it is difficult to find those steps when one is falling. And with this President we have fallen, in fact and attitude, so far we may never get back up.

Bush and those before him lit the fire, and Obummer watches, compromising as he stokes the flames.

The Future is bleak. At best six more years of this loser Obummer who will compromise his way to an economy with a real and permanent unemployment rate of fifteen percent (not the one they will be pretending in a couple years as the quality of jobs dim, and more and more people leave the statistics). And then eight years of a Republican. Fourteen years, and after that we will never be coming back. We have paid a high price for listening to and falling for Obummer’s scam of Hope A Dope.

So, it is time to toss out Obummer. This will leave us some small chance of hope. Then we will have only two more years of him, and worst case scenario, two more terms of some Republican who will be little worse.

Here is your choice America.. Get rid of Obummer. Find a principled and liberal Democrat to run against him. Lose the election to a Sarah Palin and watch disaster happen. Then, and only then, if you are lucky, six years from now you we can try again. If not, it will be ten years. But ten years of shit is better than the fourteen you will have if Obama manages to be re-elected. So, let that be your motto until the next election. Dump Obama-Ten Years of Shit is Preferable to Fourteen. Ain’t the future grand.

Two novels combined in one volume with a white cover speckled in green and red. .

We are sorry, but who is this fat black broad with the big behind to presume to select or recommend Dickens and then repackage two of his novels, two which have no relationship to each other one wit- Great Expectations and A Tale of Two Cities, and make them her own. Oprah Presents Dickens, and this bit of Dickens. Given who she is: she should have selected Our Mutual Friend, complete with the Vermeers and The Golden Dustman. Yikes... if she were near bye Deeply would be hurling geese. We can only hope that for this opportunistic, self centered, silliness she is visited this Christmas by some horrible ghosts of her own Christmas Past.

And you wonder why you ended up with a fraud like Obummer.. perhaps you do not. Something to do with the American Intellect and its susceptibility to fraud.

Deeply continues to recommend this product. Rarely has he purchased anything so reasonable in cost ( 3 models- 50-90 bucks in cost) , and so utilitarian and educational. Couple this with a Streaming NetFlix account, now reduced in cost to 7 bucks a month, and the device and opportunity is a bargain. There are a lot of movies and documentaries out there, informative, and many of them not the garbage from Hollywood. Three recent ones, watched this week, I Capture The Castle ( there is also a different film called The Castle) , The Dish, and last evening an intelligent film The Man From Earth.

Once you rate some movies and indicate your preferences, netflix wisely suggests more and more to fit your tastes. Deeply has also stumbled into a TV series from Showtime, Weeds, a series about a Range Rover driving Mommy Dearest who deals pot... perhaps this was the somewhat lighter brain child of Breaking Bad. Watching a TV series is fun on this thing because the DVDs have ten or twelve episodes on them. You can go back to your spot when ever and pick up where you left off days before. Roku Knows.

The Stage is set. The play commences. Actors assemble with their scripts. First, you have the house- the Democrats passing legislation.. tax cuts, hurrah, hurray, for the middle class, for all those who make less than 250,000 big green ones. This is, of course, all pretend because the Senate, for ever bogged in the land of the filibuster, or even less, the land of the threat of filibuster, will do nothing with the bill anyway. Yikes. I will filibuster you. Well Fuck You Too... Senate.

Anyway, and first. There is a problem here in presentation. How about if the Democratic members of the house restate this as Tax Cuts for 98 % of the people. Challenge the Scrooge Republicans to vote against that. It certainly sounds better than tax cuts only for those making less than 250, 000. But that would be crazy it might sound sensible... too good, too rational, and your government might then fix something, do something. And regarding this Deficit commission- How about a plan for economic expansion, coupled with a plan for deficit reduction when, and only when, the economy starts to improve.

A metaphor may be in order. We have no money, citizens. We must cancel the Fire Department to save, save, save.. and then when the fires roar and the buildings burn, and nothing of any value is left...let’s raise revenue from, in this case, property taxes from our small imaginary town. Ooops.. property is all burned up.. has no value left.. say nada to that revenue... Such is the picture in Washington.. Shut off the tap and pray for rain. Kill the goose and eat her, then search for eggs. ( The bypartisan deficit commision in action)

Yep, we are lost.. a useless house of representatives, and a senate with the principles and purpose of a wealthy sloth, and into this mix- stage center, and so small you can hardly see him.. your President. What, you almost forgot, we have one? Well, so did Deeply. President who, president what, just imagine this repeated page after page as the font grows smaller and smaller until you can no longer read the print.

That’s it team...Nothing, nada, nowhere we go, led by the captain of compromise who grows more invisible by the day. Soon he will be only a wraith of hope.. a possibility long gone... his jawboning days- history because they never were.

We wonder what Obummer is in the white house for. To play, to pretend, or simply to have dinner? Because the man is a disaster. President-I will do absolutely nothing I said I would, and I will do it with great pretension... that guy.. Obummer.

It is dark, almost six in the morning. An early winter storm buffets Deeply’s home. Solid white sheets of snow consume everything one moment, turning to dancing fairy flakes the next. Our small foam-block concrete house with its forty feet of glass is a wonder. Solid and quiet inside, if we open the door the wind becomes a banshee, a freight train force from the west. Our legs lounge and extend before us. Then, we gaze across twelve feet of lighted, railing-less deck. All goes white, then black, then white again, before our now barren wild flower meadow plunges rapidly towards the lake and black oblivion. There is a primeval comfort here, that of caves and fires, of furs against the cold.

And yes, it is Black Friday, and the big question are we about to scamper out the door and drive for thirty miles to stand outside, waiting, waiting, waiting, for the doors of America to open? Are we going shopping?No, but we think we may eat another piece of pumpkin pie and write until it becomes light… The book nears completion, ever so slowly, but we think we have the final twist figured and now it becomes nothing but scribbling, or typing just like this.

If you are about to shop.. enjoy, have fun, spend, spend, spend… send that dough to China and beyond, because some crumbs may stay at home, you see, and in this economy even crumbs become a comfort.

Anyway, The Big News. So today it is Thanksgiving, North Koreans are still troubling, the economy still sucks, problems are everywhere, the wars continue, the election is coming even though we just finished one. What is the decider doing now that he cannot deside?

On any normal day, when our Reindeer felt like working, you would hear ad infinitum, story after bullshit story. But then it becomes a Holiday, and all news stops. On holidays there is no news, on TV anyway. Every thing is happy street. Makes you wonder doesn't it? If on weekends and holidays there is no news, then why the hell is there so much the rest of the time?
Surely somewhere in America people are being hacked to death, or drunk, or running amok, on drugs and or dying. After all it is a holiday and that is what people do. Still no news... happy street.

Think about it. What is Sarah Palin doing today, where is Romney, what is McCaine sputtering? Did Bristol Palin learn to dance? Why have there been no Amber alerts? The reason- No Big News.

The only reason we are running about like Chicken Little's is the ass Obummer wants to be President again, and he is afraid that if we are "hit" he will pay.

Tough! It's a roll of the dice. For our complete nation, 300 million plus people to be hassled again, and again, and again because two towers crashed in New York is, no pun intended, overkill". Any President who cared about the collective freedoms of the American people and not himself would stop this. Plus, every time we look out of control, or crazy worried, kooks all over the earth think, how easy it is to screw with them. "I'll just put some explosives in my underwear. They will all lose their freedoms." And the fools, yes us, will spend billions-trillions.

What a stupid country we have become. Deeply lives in Northern Michigan and he does not care. How about security pat downs only for citizens from or travelling to cities which are likely " to be hit" If you are from New York, pat downs. If you are from DC pat downs. If you are from Iowa City or Pellston Michigan, Two Bits Ohio... no pat downs. Take that you asses of the media all sitting in New York and Washington.

Blowing Stink- A Metaphor For Our Nation.

It's Blowin Stink on Deeply's high hill this morning.   The gusts pound the house at least fifty mph at times. The weather witch said perhaps thirty, but high and exposed to the West, the travelling winds roar across the upper great plains, then Lake Michigan, until they slam into our country concrete home, a solid rock of foam, steel, and glass, above the barren forest.
As for our nation's metaphor.. yes, and also. If this were provincial New York city it would be winds of disaster.   We would have teams of security and warning, warning, warnings. Here, in rural northern Michigan, the wind will be barely mentioned. A nod at the market, a comment as some old geezer hobbles after his hat.   New York, where we will not even make the news, does not care about us and we should not care about them. Enough with Homeland Security. No planes are crashing round here. Nor are they likely to.

But, it's Blowing Stink in America, and soon we will have no freedoms left.

All the while supported, founded, and funded by the by the most venal of the corporate class, the Koch brothers. And if that is not enough, well, The "liberal press" Hardballs its way, daily, to the center on the false indignities of people like Chris Mathews and Kieth Olberman.

Thirty years since the Rat, aka Ronald Reagan, and our nation is bereft of hope. Reagan's dream of "killing the beast of government is fulfilled. And hope, a phrase, a fraud, trotted about by centrists stooges like Obummer and Clinton, this simple expectation, has morphed into a meaningless slogan, a message without reality.
